Middelen uit de gemetastaseerde setting worden steeds vaker al in een vroeger stadium ingezet. Adjuvante immuuntherapie wordt bijvoorbeeld al enige tijd vergoed en dat geldt sinds kort ook voor adjuvante doelgerichte therapie. De beide therapiesoorten worden bovendien ook neo-adjuvant getest. 

In deze met casuïstiek geïllustreerde nascholing staat ons internationaal expertpanel een uur lang stil bij de (neo-)adjuvante behandeling van het melanoom. Welke patiënten hebben het meeste baat van welke therapie? En welke lessen kunnen we wel of juist niet meenemen uit de gemetastaseerde setting? Deze en andere vragen komen aan bod.

• de resultaten van de Combi-AD, KEYNOTE-054 en CheckMate 238;
• lopende studies naar adjuvante schema’s;
• patiëntenselectie voor doelgerichte therapie en immuuntherapie;

• verhouding adjuvante tot neo-adjuvante therapie.
